Most, if not all, advertising graduate programs that are run in Sydney are run by city based agencies and give a one-sided view of advertising from the agency perspective.
They’re an excellent way of those agencies recruiting young talent and will continue to be so.
But we’re not so sure they’re recruiting from a big enough nor diverse enough pool.
We believe it’s one of the reasons the advertising industry has a diversity problem that needs addressing.
We’d like to see more talent in the business from the West of Sydney, not the East.
